Agriculture

Brookfield Brazil has almost 30 years of experience as an owner, operator and developer of agriculture properties. Its total portfolio includes approximately 170,000 hectares of agriculture land located in the Brazilian states of São Paulo, Minas Gerais, Mato Grosso, Mato Grosso do Sul, Tocantins e Maranhão. The agricultural assets are currently utilized for a variety of purposes including cattle, sugarcane, soy, corn, rice, pineapple, and natural rubber production.

Over the last years, we have acquired almost 100,000 hectares of agricultural land. We consider most of these properties to be development properties, as we continue to create value by improving the productivity of the farms and to target farms within the region to enhance economies of scale and convert them to a higher and more productive use.
