Luiz I. Simões Lopes
Senior Managing Partner and Chief Executive Officer of Brookfield Brazil

Luiz is a Senior Managing Partner at Brookfield Asset Management Inc., in charge of Brookfield’s operations in Brazil, and is the CEO of Brookfield Brazil. Luiz has over 30 years of experience in capital markets. Prior to joining Brookfield, he was CEO and member of the board of directors of Magliano CTVM and Managing Director of Fiat Leasing and Banco Fiat. Luiz obtained his degree in Business Administration from Faculdade Moraes Júnior and his Capital Markets specialization from Fundação Getúlio Vargas. Luiz is a member of the board of directors of the Brazilian Symphonic Orchestra (OSB), the Commercial Association of Rio de Janeiro (ACRJ) and the Brazil-Canada Chamber of Commerce (CCBC).

Paulo Cesar C. Garcia
General Counsel of Brookfield Brazil

Paulo has been the General Counsel of Brookfield Brazil since 2005. Prior to joining Brookfield Brazil, he has occupied general counsel and associate general counsel positions for several companies including AMBEV, REXAM and CSN. Paulo also worked as a corporate and M&A lawyer at Pinheiro Neto Law Firm in Brazil. He holds a post-graduate degree in Corporate Law from Pontifícia Universidade Católica of Rio de Janeiro (PUC) and graduated in Law from PUC.

Renato Cassim Cavalini
Managing Partner and Chief Executive Officer of Brookfield Brazil Agri

As the head of Brookfield's agricultural operations in Brazil, Renato is responsible for several large farming operations totaling some 150,000 hectares (360,000 acres) and 70,000 head of cattle. Renato was responsible for assembling this land portfolio and was instrumental in developing large-scale sugar cane farming operations in Brazil for the production of ethanol. He has been with Brookfield for 10 years. Renato is an agronomist and holds a first degree in Agribusiness from the University of Minnesota and an MBA from Fundação Dom Cabral/INSEAD.

Richard Maingot
Director, Corporate Audit Services of Brookfield Brazil

Richard has been working with Brookfield Brasil since 1999 and is currently responsible for Internal Audit of the Brazilian operations of Brookfield Asset Management Inc.. He worked previously for Deloitte & Touche in London, UK and Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Richard is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales, a Certified Internal Auditor (Institute of Internal Auditors, US) and a Certified Fraud Examiner (Association of Certified Fraud Examiners-ACFE, US). He holds a MA in Economics from Cambridge University, UK and an MBA from Ibmec in Rio de Janeiro, is a member of the audit committee of WWF-Brasil and is a director of the Brazilian Chapter of the ACFE.

Sergio L. Campos
Managing Partner and Vice President of Brookfield Brazil

Sergio has been Vice President of Brookfield Brazil since 2007. He began his banking career at the First National City Bank as senior analyst. Afterwards, he worked at Open S/A Corretora de Câmbio e Valores Mobiliários as manager for negotiable securities. Sergio was director and partner of Banco Graphus and Banco Fonte Cindam. He joined Banco Brascan as executive director, from where he left to work at CVC Opportunity for a short period and then returned to Banco Brascan as executive director and member of the Executive Committee. Sergio was president of SINDCOR (Broker-Dealers Union). He is graduated in Economics from UFF – Universidade Federal Fluminense.

Tim Formuziewich
Managing Partner of Brookfield Brazil

Tim has been working with Brookfield Asset Management since 2005 and is currently responsible for corporate development and transaction execution at Brookfield Brazil. During 2006, he led the initial public offering of Brookfield’s Brazilian homebuilding operations. He previously worked with Deloitte & Touche and PricewaterhouseCoopers. Tim is a Chartered Accountant (Canada), a Certified Public Accountant (Maine) and a CFA charter holder. He holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Acadia University in Canada.
